The real stars of Stone Island’s incredible AW22 collection have begun to arrive through our doors, and with the transitional season lying in wait around the corner (or already upon us, depending on your tolerance for cold weather), the timing could hardly be better.

As is customary for Stone Island’s seasonal rollouts, we’ve already been treated to a steady drip feed of products that subtly hint at wider thematic stories that make up the full picture for the collection. The label’s core principles of functionality, fabrication, technical innovation and garment finishing are again front and centre of the design process, with a healthy combination of new and returning fabrications making up the current roster of styles. The Crinkle Reps R-NY Aqua Blue Down Jacket (already a fan-favourite fabrication) and Loom Woven Chambers R-Nylon Down-TC Packable Jacket were early-season arrivals to our AW22 showcase, bringing to the table an innovative, ultra-tight weaving technology and a handy packable design respectively.

The latest additions to an already stellar lineup double down on that commitment to innovation, both technically and aesthetically. A mixture of essential outerwear pieces including parkas, puffers and gilets, presented in a myriad of flamboyant colourways, are complemented by technical knits and winter accessories that help to bring the entire collection full circle.

A particular seasonal highlight is the reintroduction of the ‘Heritage Camo’ graphic, an archival classic that has been refreshed for a new season and potentially a new audience. The 'Heritage Camo Ripstop Nylon Down Jacket' is surely one of the crowning jewels of our showcase, turning heads with its tasteful revisitation of the archival printing pattern of the Ice Jacket Camouflage '090. A variation of the pattern is also presented across the 'Heritage Camo Wool Balaclava' and 'Heritage Camo Wool Beanie Hat' from the same collection. We’ve also got a lot of love for the 'Nylon Metal In ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon Down Gilet'with its overdyed shell that shimmers gently as a result of its metallised nylon fibres, which also produce an eye-catching iridescent finish.
