Adidas x Raf Simons Launches The RS Detroit High

For Spring/Summer 2019, Adidas x Raf Simons explores the aesthetic clash between ’70s glam rock and mid-century haute couture - dual inspirations of the Belgian designer.

The hi-top, lace-up RS DETROIT HIGH is architected on the foundation of the Detroit Runner, a staple of the range. The Runner’s thick tread outsole and curvilinear midsole remain, while its canvas upper is traded for opaque, rubberized plastic - a nod to the fetish elements of glam rock. On the boot’s outer shaft, Simons applies a “punkette” patch featuring a black-and-white photograph of an anonymous woman within an art nouveau frame. Beneath it, a label printed with “Raf Simons Antwerp SS 2019” recalls the heyday of haute couture.

Available from January 24th, in store and online at ZOOFASHIONS.COM.
