Fabric and Research
Panama cotton is a plain-weave fabric with a distinctive basket-weave structure — threads are woven in pairs rather than individually, creating a subtle textured surface and a slightly open, breathable hand. The organic cotton version uses fibres grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. The 'OLD' treatment is an exclusive Stone Island dyeing process: after garment dyeing, the finished piece undergoes a controlled fading treatment that creates a slightly worn, three-dimensional appearance — as if the garment has already been lived in. The matching trouser to the Beige Old Effect Overshirt — both pieces share the same organic panama cotton and 'OLD' treatment, making them the natural set within the warm summer tones palette.
