Founded in 2018 by French-Morrocan designer Charaf Tajer, Casablanca positions itself as a luxury, sports and leisurewear-inspired brand, defined primarily by easy, highly-wearable fabrics, explosive bursts of pastel colours and refined but relaxed silhouettes. The artistic direction takes huge inspiration from Tajer’s Moroccan roots, with colour palettes that evoke images of the sunbaked, North African terracotta and aesthetics that reference the rich cultural heritage of the city of Casablanca.
